Brevin Egbert, a senior at Sky View High and the reigning Utah Class 4A state champion in the boys long jump along with an all-state running back/outside linebacker who scored 31 touchdowns during the fall, joins DyeStat's Keenan Gray to discuss competing April 5-6 in the decathlon in the return of the Arcadia Multis as part of the 56th Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High in California. Egbert placed 12th in the decathlon in June at Nike Outdoor Nationals with a personal-best 6,059 points at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Egbert will throw the javelin in competition for the first time this year, in addition to returning to the pole vault for only the second time in his prep career, since the event isn't contested at Utah high school events.
