Payton Otterdahl produced a lifetime-best 74-1.50 (22.59m) effort in the second round of the men's competition and Jessica Ramsey achieved the top mark in the women's field with a third-round performance of 59-6.25 (18.14m) to secure victory as a pair in the Team Shot Put Showcase in the Drake Field House as part of the 114th Drake Relays Presented by Xtream and Powered by Mediacom in Des Moines, Iowa. Otterdahl and Ramsey had a combined mark of 133-7.75 (40.73m), earning a combined $3,000 winner's prize.
