Lianna Davidson, a junior at Texas A&M representing Australia, along with teammate Katelyn Fairchild swept the top two spots for the Aggies in the women's javelin throw final at the Southeastern Conference Championships at James G. Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Fla. Davidson triumphed with a sixth-round effort of 189-11 (57.89m) and Fairchild opened her series with a mark of 185-9 (56.62m) to take the top two places after finishing first and third last year at the championship meet at LSU. Davidson became the first Texas A&M female athlete in program history to repeat in the javelin and the first women's competitor to secure back-to-back crowns in the event since Dutch performer Evelien Dekkers of Florida captured three in a row from 2008-10.
