Olympic Steeplechaser Says 'Big Life Change' Means No More Training With BTC By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Colleen Quigley posted on Instagram early Thursday with the surprise news that she will no longer be part of Nike's Bowerman Track Club. The 2016 Olympic steeplechaser and former college standout at Florida State has one of the biggest social media followings in the sport. Her Instagram account is followed by more than 231,000 people and she has cultivated a huge following among young female runners, who she connected with using her posts called "Fast Braid Friday." Quigley, who was a successful model in her teens before devoting herself to track and field, did not give details about her future plans, or whether she is going to another training group. Her post included an extended thank you to her teammates and coaches. She joined the Jerry Schumacher-led group in 2015. She finished eighth at the 2016 Rio Games. Her PR in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, 9:10.27, makes her the third-fastest American ever. She won the NYRR Millrose Games Women's Wanamaker Mile in 2018 and the USATF Indoor mile title in 2019.
