Luke Brown, a junior at Kentucky representing Jamaica, won the men's triple jump title with a wind-legal performance of 53-9.75 (16.40m) in the fourth round at the Southeastern Conference Championships at James G. Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Fla. Brown became the first Kentucky male athlete to win the conference triple jump crown since 1981, in addition to following fellow Jamaican athlete Jaydon Hibbert of Arkansas, who achieved the feat last season, by sweeping both indoor and outdoor triple jump championships in the same year.
