Nico Young 11th Place Men's 3000m - National High School Record 7:56.97 - NYRR Millrose Games 2020

Newbury Park CA senior Nico Young set the national high school record in the Dr. Sander men's 3,000 meters, clocking 7:56.97 at the 113th NYRR Millrose Games at The Armory in New York. Young eclipsed the mark of 7:59.33 produced in 2016 by Loudoun Valley VA standout Drew Hunter. Young also elevated to No. 2 American U-20 all-time performer on a standard 200-meter banked track.
