Johannes Erm, a senior at Georgia representing Estonia, won the men's decathlon title with 8,132 points at the Southeastern Conference Championships at Ole Miss Track and Field Complex in Oxford, Mississippi. Erm became the fifth male competitor in program history to capture an SEC decathlon title, despite significant lightning and thunder delays that resulted in the competition concluding around 1 a.m. Central Time. It marked only the second decathlon Erm has completed since 2019, the other coming with an 11th-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics in August.
