Christian Miller, a Georgia-bound senior at Creekside High in Florida and the American Under-20 record holder in the 100-meter dash with a wind-legal 9.93 seconds, joins DyeStat's Todd Grasley to discuss his world-leading performance April 20 at the Pure Athletics Spring Invitational at the NTC Training Center in Clermont, Fla. Only Issam Asinga, a former Montverde Academy of Florida athlete representing Suriname who ran 9.89 last year, and Botswana's Letsile Tebogo with his 9.91 effort in 2022, have achieved faster wind-legal 100 marks than Miller in World U20 history. Miller, who trains with the St. Johns Striders Track Club, previously set the World U18 all-time best in the 100 by running 10.06 at the USATF U20 Championships last year at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Miller, 17, eclipsed the 2014 American U20 record of 9.97 achieved at Hayward Field by Trayvon Bromell, in addition to elevating among the top 40 competitors in U.S. history with his 9.93 effort, which followed a wind-legal 10.06 in the prelims.
